#1 — Crypto Hong Kong Is Back
After China banned financial institutions from crypto in May of 2021, the HK crypto ecosystem slowed to a crawl. But that has recently changed. Shortly after easing draconian Covid quarantine policies in January, the Hong Kong government proposed new rules allowing retail investors to own certain large-cap tokens on licensed exchanges, while mainland China continued to ban crypto-related transactions.
